National Award Winners
YES Energy Solutions wins a National Energy Efficiency Award for tackling fuel poverty in the UK.
We did it!
On Friday 16th September we were named ‘National Fuel Poverty Campaigner of the Year’ at the energy saving industry’s largest awards ceremony.
Representatives of the team were presented with the award by popular TV actress, Joanna Lumley OBE at the majestic Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham.
We were praised by industry officials for our critical work in helping vulnerable people keep warm for less.
The company also came 2nd place in the ‘National Funding Provider of the Year’ category and 3rd place for the ‘Project Management Company of the Year’ award.
Andrew Herbert, Chief Executive of YES Energy Solutions was delighted with the company’s achievement. He said:
“It’s fantastic to be recognised at a national level for our work in reducing fuel poverty. This year we’ve helped some of the most vulnerable householders in the country access support so that they can live in homes that they can now afford to heat.”
“Not only have our projects reduced CO2 emissions, but they have really helped people improve their quality of life through energy efficiency. This award is a great acknowledgement for all our hard work and I’d like to thank everybody in my team for the commitment they have shown to the cause.”
Rewarding the fight against Fuel Poverty and Climate Change
The National Energy Efficiency and Retrofit Awards is an annual event attended by hundreds of green organisations, installers and energy industry advocates. It showcases the very best in approaches to tackling Fuel Poverty and Climate Change.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by ‘Mock the Week’ presenter Dara Ó Briain and attended by over 500 delegates.
YES Energy Solutions specialise in working with Local Authorities throughout the UK to develop energy saving schemes. This year we’ve delivered projects in some of the poorest and most deprived areas in England. This has included helping residents in Park Homes slash their fuel bills, connecting vulnerable households to the mains gas network and regenerating communities through whole house insulation upgrades.
As a community interest company, we have no shareholders, so any profit generated is invested into our social mission – to reduce CO2 and alleviate fuel poverty.
